                Both the CLC and BRC group arrived at the hotel on July 12, Sunday. The night was scheduled for the fellowship, which was filled with singing, dancing, and fun games organized by the BRC. The fellowship helped build and foster friendship between the two campuses. The inset proper was set for the next day.

 

                Dr. Ofelia S. Sy, a member of the PSHS-BRC GPTA, gave the welcome remarks after the prayer and singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Gov. Jose Ma. Clemente S. Salceda of Albay gave a message to the attendees. He talked about the importance of risk management especially in our schools. After his message, he entertained questions from faculty members and staff both from CLC and BRC. Our very own Dir. Lilia T. Habacon gave a brief talk on the organizational framework of the PSHS System. Mr. Aries N. Oliveros, the CISD Chief of CLC, presented the IPCR (Individual Performance Commitment and Review), which is the tool currently being used by CLC. A brief talk on the PSHS Curriculum was given by Dr. Marie Christine M. Obusan from BRC. Mr. Mark Anthony B. Pelaez presented the Action Plan. In the afternoon, the attendees went to the PHIVOLCS Mayon Observatory, Ligñon Hill Nature Park, and Cagsawa Ruins and Museum.

 

                The participants started the second day early for the Focus Group Discussion on the strenghts, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the different units’ respective curriculum. One teacher from each unit presented their SWOT analysis and their re-entry action plan or REAP. Members of the SSD (Students Services Division) and FAD (Finance and Administrative Division) also conducted their focus group discussions. From the second half of the second day up to the third day , Mr. Gerson Abesamis and his team from Habi Education Lab facilitated an enjoyable and fruitful workshop on Design Thinking. Through active engagement in the prepared activities, the teachers and staff learned how to conceptualize and construct different strategies and techniques for different lessons. Upon conclusion of  the workshop, the closing program followed. Dr. Larry L. Cabatic gave an inspiring message to all the participants. Mr. Ralph Hipolito and Ms. Jennifer Magno from CLC and BRC respectively gave their impressions on the three-day event. Dir. Lilia T. Habacon also gave a brief but important message, while Dir. Elsie G. Ferrer gave the closing remarks. Mr. Jerry M. Noveno of BRC was the emcee of the event.

 

                Overall, the event was a complete success. The teachers felt better equipped in facing the new school year as they took with them new lessons and experiences.
