The 49th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) took place last July 6 to July 15, 2017 at the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology in Mahidol University, Nakhon Prathom, Thailand. Four students represented the Philippines, and among them was Charles Bartolo from Philippine Science High School – Central Luzon Campus (PSHS – CLC). Bartolo gave honor not only to his school but also to his country when he won a bronze medal in the said event.
