The Central Scholar editor-in chief John Matthew C. Marquez won first place for the second time around in the science writing contest during the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) held at Pampanga High School last January 8.
Marquez also bagged second place in the Regional Search for Outstanding Campus Journalists and received his award last February 16 at the Anne Raquel’s Resort in Olongapo City.
“I share my triumph with the Pisay-Clark community, and I hope the culture of excellence thrives among us,” said Marquez, who clinched third place in the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) 2015 in Taguig City.
As of press time, Marquez is participating in the NSPC 2016 in Koronadal City where he hopes to clinch another podium finish.
