Three scholars of PSHS-CLC bagged awards in an international science fair held at Nakhon Pathom, Thailand on Jan. 27-30, 2015. 

Joseph Adrian T. dela Cruz, Marnoel A. Cruz, and Justine Ryan DM. Silvestre of PSHS-CLC Batch 2015 proved were awarded as Best in Oral Presentation in Chemistry category. Meanwhile, their study entitled “Oxygen Plasma Surface Modification of Polylactic Acid-Cellulose Acetate-Chitosan Nanocomposite Fiber: Its Effect on Hydrophilicity and Anti-Bacterial Property Against E. coli and S. aureus” was  cited as Best Overseas Project. This study provided a groundwork on creating wound dressing by utilizing rice straws as materials.

The science fair organized by Mahidol Wittayanusorn School (MWITS) is an annual event that serves as an avenue for Thai students to showcase their scientific research skills. Further, this event gives opportunity for these Thai student-researchers to exchange ideas among their fellow young researchers from the different parts of the world.

This year’s science fair was able to gather 127 local and international teams to participate in the event. Moreover, this year's fair focused on activities relating to science project presentations, science exhibitions, science zone and collaborative problem solving, and teacher session.

 Chaperoning the students in the fair, Ms. Lilia T. Habacon, Campus Director of PSHS-CLC and Mr. Rohit C. Tilwani, Research Adviser got themselves involved in the teacher sessions.
